Johnny Cash's Tips
Walsall v Notts County (Fri, 16:00, League One)
Notts County or Draw - Double Chance @ 2,00
Walsall are sleepwalking into a relegation fight – they’ve won just one of their last nine games to leave them three points above the drop zone, while just five wins from 19 home league matches this season makes them poor value even money shots here. Notts County are scrapping for their lives and are in no sort of form (plus without a manager) but their away record remains very decent with just six defeats from 19 on the road this term. This will be more even than the match betting suggests and I’m happy to take the visitors at even money in the double chance market.
AFC Wimbledon v Northampton (Fri, 16:00, League Two)
AFC Wimbledon To Win @ 3,00
Wimbledon have been strong at home this season with 10 wins from their last 16 while they still have a (very) outside chance of making the top seven so should retain motivation. Northampton have been shocking on the road with 11 defeats from their last 18 so I’m happy to back the hosts at a best price 3,00
York v Cheltenham (Fri, 16:00, League Two)
Cheltenham Or Draw - Double Chance @ 2,00
York have won just two of 19 home league games this season yet are odds-on to win this match! Admittedly bottom club Cheltenham are in no sort of form but they’ve appointed the experienced Gary Johnson to the helm this week which should give them a much needed shot in the arm. There’s just four points between these sides in the table so backing the visitors to avoid defeat at even money is a bet that has to be taken.
Barnsley v Sheff Utd (Sat, 13:15, League One)
Barnsley To Win @ 3.75
Barnsley are making a late play-off push under the impressive Lee Johnson and they’ve strung together an impressive nine match unbeaten run. I tipped up Crewe to beat Sheffield United at a giant 19/2 last week and again the Blades are overestimated here – remember they’ve won just two of their last eight games. Back the hosts at 3.75 on Betfair to keep their run going.
