Montenegro and Russia will each be looking for their 2nd win of the qualifying campaigns when they meet tonight. Both teams have 5 points, occupying 3rd and 4th spot in the group, but Russians ahead on goal difference. Should be a tight game, and that is reflected in the odds.
Montenergro have score just 3 goals but have shipped just 1, while Russia have twice the output, scoring 6 and conceding 3 .Montenegrians started this campaign pretty well. Winning here against Moldova but could'nt find a way when they visiting Liechenstein and drawing 0-0. In the next match at home against Sweden, Jovetic save them from penalty in 80. minute and they finished that game 1-1.
Russia also start this campaign by trashing poor Liechenstein by 4-0. They also draw in Sweden 1-1. Only result that they may regrett is draw against Moldova. They defend very well in their last game on the road against Austria but they sufferd a narrow defeat by 1-0.
So, both teams started with wins but have faild to win any of their last 3 group games. This may well be a very tight game and another draw is not out of question. However, I do feel the Russians attack is due a good game having scored just 2 over there last 2 games and that too from the spot. Had this game been in Russia, I'd be betting them to win by a couple so given the situation there is no reason to think they don't give us the performance they are capable of.
Before looking the odds I had looked at this game and considered a possible 1 goal margin victory for Russia as a possible bet but I've seen we+re getting well over even money with the visitors despite them being heavy favourites to win this game. That's good value, in my opinion, and I think we should take them to edge this game to pick up 3 vital points...
