NBA handicap bets – Friday March 14th
Our NBA betting expert previews the Friday night action in the NBA and has point spread picks across three games.
Surprisingly, last night we didn’t win any game. The Houston Rockets fell to the Chicago Bulls on the road, the Hawks beat the Milwaukee Bucks but couldn’t overcome the -9.5 point spread and the Los Angeles Lakers lost by 29 points from OKC.
Denver Nuggets @ Miami Heat
The Denver Nuggets will travel to Miami to take on the Heat, who are in the middle of a cold spell as of lately. LeBron James and Co. have lost four out of their five games and they are looking to make the difference tonight. The Heat obviously hold the upper hand. The Nuggets are not very dangerous this season and they will not be in the playoffs. I like the Heat on the point spread of -10.5 points and I believe they should be trusted. It’s finally the time for Miami to start piling up victories and gain momentum. Verdict: Heat -10.5
Washington Wizards @ Orlando Magic
The Orlando Magic will host the Washington Wizards on Friday night. Both teams had their ups and downs up to now in the season. Both of them have lost some games they were supposed to win while at the same time they have achieved some victories when they were projected to fall. In this game though, I strongly believe the Wizards will be able to win by more than 5 points, which is their point spread. The Magic have lost their last four games and I can’t see how they will be able to match up against John Wall and his company. The Wizards is your team in this game. Verdict: Wizards -5.0
Minnesota Timberwolves @ Charlotte Bobcats
The Charlotte Bobcats will take on the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday. Although this won’t be an easy game for Charlotte, I think that in the end, they will get the victory. Al Jefferson has been simply astonishing almost all season long. The Wolves on the other hand have been struggling to find consistency and also to win close games. That’s why I believe that the +1.5 point spread gives a big advantage to the Cats. Charlotte is fighting hard to retain its playoff spot while on the other hand it will be very difficult for the Wolves to get within the top eight seeds in the West. Verdict: Bobcats +1.5
