NBA handicap bets – Thursday March 13th

Last night won one out of out three game predictions. The Denver Nuggets rolled past the Orlando Magic easily. We lost the Grizzlies – Pelicans game by a single point and in the last game, the one between the Blazers and the Spurs, LaMarcus Aldridge went down with a game-ending injury, which helped the Spurs seal the victory by more than 7.5 points.

Houston Rockets @ Chicago Bulls

The Chicago Bulls have been playing exceptionally well as of lately. Really, the Bulls have managed to turn their season around. On Thursday night they will host the Houston Rockets, who are also in a great shape. Both teams are coming off losses, but they will certainly fight hard for the victory. I predict that the Rockets will get this game, overcoming the -2.5 point spread.

Verdict: Rockets -2.5

Milwaukee Bucks @ Atlanta Hawks

The Atlanta Hawks have lost some of the surge they showed earlier in the season. After ranking third in the East for several weeks in a row, they have now fallen to the eighth spot. However, in this Thursday night matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks they hold the upper hand. I like the Hawks on the point spread of -9.5. I believe they will be able to overcome it, simply because the Bucks are awful. Milwaukee still holds the worst record in the NBA, 13-51 and it will be very difficult for them to even stay in this game. Paul Millsap and Jeff Teague should be able to handle things for Atlanta, leading their team to an easy victory.

Verdict: Hawks -9.5

Los Angeles Lakers @ Oklahoma City Thunder

The Los Angeles Lakers are going from bad to worse this season. After the latest news which state that Kobe Bryant will not return this season, Mike D’Antoni’s future with the team seems to be short. On Thursday night the Lakers will meet the Thunder in Oklahoma City. Of course, OKC holds the advantage. They are the strongest favorites. However, I like the Lakers on the point spread of +16. I don’t see a reason why the Thunder will have to push to achieve a blowout, just a month prior to the start of the postseason.

Verdict: Lakers +16.0
