NBA handicap bets – Wednesday March 12th

Our NBA handicapper previews the Wednesday night action in the NBA and has point spread picks across three gamesLast night won two out of our three games.

The Memphis Grizzlies beat the Portland Trail Blazers, as expected and the San Antonio Spurs didn’t have much trouble rolling past the Chicago Bulls. We also expected the Houston Rockets to fall to the Oklahoma City Thunder but not by more than 4 points. At last, they lost by 8.

Denver Nuggets @ Orlando Magic

The Orlando Magic are showing now improvement with their production this season. On the contrary, they continue to go south. On Wednesday night they will host the Denver Nuggets and that will be a very difficult game for Orlando. The Nuggets are certainly not one of the most powerful teams in the league, but they do have the potential to beat the Magic. I like the Nuggets on the point spread of -1.0 point. I think you should trust them, simply because the Magic can’t be trusted in this one.

Verdict: Nuggets -1.0

Memphis Grizzlies @ New Orleans Pelicans

The Memphis Grizzlies are showing their teeth. After staying out of the top eight spots for the biggest chunk of the season, Marc Gasol, Zach Randolph and their company have climbed to the seventh seed of the West and they are going all the way for better as the season is nearing to its end. The Grizzlies have won their last three games and on Wednesday night they will try to get their fourth in a row against the Pelicans in New Orleans. The Grizzlies have a -3 point spread, which I believe they will be able to overcome. The Pelicans are don’t have the weapons to match with Memphis in this game.

Verdict: Grizzlies -3.0

Portland Trail Blazers @ San Antonio Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs rank first in the tough Western Conference. Tony Parker and Co. have won their last seven games and they are proving once again that they do have the potential to chase the Larry O’Brien trophy. On Wednesday night they will host the Portland Trail Blazers, who were impressive during the first months of the season, but now they have fallen to the fifth seed of the West. The Blazers have lost their last three games. They might lose in this one, too, but I would bet on them because of the +7.5 point spread they have.

Verdict: Blazers +7.5
