UEFA Champions League - Betting Previews for 11&12 March

Our Johnny Cash has a preview of all the Champions League action and expects a fight back from Man City at the Nou Camp.

Atletico Madrid v AC Milan

Atletico Madrid got a late winner at the San Siro but it was deserved and they can reaffirm their class at home in Madrid. The Italians have failed to score in three of their last four matches and don’t look to have gained any momentum under their new manager Clarence Seedorf. Atletico are about 1.50 to win the game but look worth backing on the Asian Handicap line of -1.25 at 2.10. Verdict: Atletico Madrid 2-0

Bayern Munich v Arsenal

Bayern lead 2-0 from the 1st leg and should be able to gain an easy win in front of their home fans where they have scored 14 goals in their last three games. Arsenal will be forced to come out and search for goals which will leave them exposed to Bayern’s swift attacking play. There is real momentum at Bayern under Pep Guardiola and they have lost just one home game all season in a meaningless group game against Man City. They have won their last eight games by a margin of 2 or more goals so I expect them to cover a -1.75 Asian Handicap at 2.00. Verdict: Bayern 3-1

Barcelona v Man City

Man City needs to make up a 2-0 loss from the first leg and have no option but to go for an all-out attack at the Nou Camp. The return of Sergio Aguero to the side will help them enormously and he will be confident of scoring against a Barca defence that has conceded in five of their last six La Liga games. The Spanish champions will be under pressure to deliver a performance after they got beaten at the weekend away to Real Valladolid with a full strength team. Iniesta may miss the game for family reasons but either way Man City have plenty of stars in their side to win in the Nou Camp. I think Pellegrini got his team selection badly wrong in the first leg by playing Kolarov and he’s sue to play a much more attacking line-up. At 6.00 to win the game, Man City offer very good value in a must win game. Verdict: Man City 2-1

PSG v Bayer Leverkusen

PSG have won nine of their last 11 home matches and should have little difficulty in winning against Bayer Leverkusen who they beat 4-0 in Germany. The German side are winless in their last six games with five losses and a draw. PSG can cover the Asian Handicap line of -1.25 at 1.86. Verdict: PSG 3-0
