Crawley Town vs Stevenage

Hosts Crawley Town are also enjoying something of a renaissance lately as they’ve put together a six match unbeaten run which has lifted them out of the bottom quarter of League One and no doubt they’ll have their sights on extending this run when they take on second from bottom club Stevenage on Tuesday night.

It’s actually been their away form that has really improved of late with wins at Leyton Orient 3-2 and Walsall 2-1 along with holding Coventry City, Rotherham United and Swindon Town to points on their travels, but they’ve also beaten Notts County and Saturday’s impressive win over Peterborough United on home turf.

Crawley’s overall home record stands at 6-4-4 14/15 and John Gregory’s men have achieved six clean sheets so far at home this season and have lost just once in their last six at Broadhall Stadium.Stevenage also enjoyed Saturday afternoon as they took all three points away at Bradford City in a thrilling 3-2 win but they still remain in the bottom four just one point above Notts County who now sit at the bottom of League One following their 0-6 defeat at Rotherham.

Stevenage have registered back-to-back wins now as they’d previously beaten relegation rivals Crewe Alexandra 1-0 at home but they will be very aware that they are by no means out of the woods yet with still a lot of work ahead of them to avoid the drop to League Two.The away win at Bradford actually ended a run of seven matches without a win (and five straight defeats) on their travels and it’ll be interesting to see if the victory at Valley Parade was a one-off or the start of a revival.

Stevenage’s overall away record stands at 4-2-11 16/32 with only Gillingham, Crewe and Notts County conceding more away goals than them in League One so far.

Crawley Town have displayed some solid results of late and with home advantage tonight against a Stevenage side who are apt to concede away from home, I’ll take the hosts and give the quarter ball in this one as I reckon Crawley can carve out a win tonight, perhaps 1-0.

Tip: Crawley Town AH-0.25

Odds: 1.75
